We gather once more inside Church’s nave as we worship one of techno’s true greats
– Jeff Mills. On the night he’ll be joined by the Berlin based Mancunian Setaoc Mass. Both with productions likened to the sonics of a futuristic space age, this night poses to be a soundtrack to a time & place distant from the environment we’re familiar with on Earth today.

Residents Finn Docherty & Sam Brinkworth will be powering on the engines early doors.

Jeff Mills
He is considered to be one of the most brilliant DJ’s and producer of techno in the World.
Alongside Mad Mike Banks, he created the collective Underground Resistance, soon to be joined by the ever-powerful Robert Hood. In 1992, Jeff Mills created his own label “Axis”, allowing him to keep his artistic independence and produce his own timeless electronic music compositions, inspired of science fiction. While he performs as a DJ all over the world, averaging 100 dates in a year, Jeff’s artistic career goes much further than techno music. For over a decade, he has transcended disciplines with a large number of collaborations in contemporary art. He is involved in numerous projects at this moment in time and is forever evolving and recreating his individual artistic performances within and beyond any given boundaries.

Setaoc Mass
As a young DJ and producer, he is part of a select cut of artists who are absorbing Techno’s legacy and carrying the torch into tomorrow. Whilst overseeing his own imprint SK_eleven, his releases push a galvanising brand of techno, steeped in a sense of urgency, ever-propulsive with acute detailing and nods to a futuristic space-age. In addition to a debut release on Len Faki’s label; Figure, which has caught the eye of some of the scene’s most respected DJ’s. As a selector, the Mancunian’s extended DJ sets pull from an expansive spectrum of material both new and old.
